_In November, 1988, the agreement for scientific and technological exchanges was signed between the college and Zhengzhou College of Textile Institute (presently, Zhongyuan University of Technology) in P.R. China. Since then, we have sent 16 researchers to Zhengzhou College and also welcomed 13 researchers from the college.
_In December, 2009, we signed an agreement for academic and educational exchanges with Institut Universitaire de Technologie , Lille A, France, and with Red Rocks Community College, Colorado, USA. In March, 2012, twelve students in the undergraduate courses participated in the English language and cross-cultural study program at RRCC for two weeks, and one student in the advanced course was sent to Lille A for a month. One student was also sent for three months to Turku University of Applied Sciences, Finland, with which we newly signed an academic and educational exchange agreement.
_As a host college for international exchange students, we have also accepted three students from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand, two from Turku University of Applied Sciences, Finland, two from Institut Universitaire de Technologie Lille A, and one from the Institut Universitaire de Technologie in Lens, France. These students stay in Tsuruoka about three months devoting individual study with our students and faculty members.
